From California:

" have to say, I just don't see this campaign doing much good. As we've really made evident on this thread, people tend to feel pretty strongly about whether they like their drinks cold or not cold (ice or no ice). It's almost like a basic need. I know I absolutely hate room temperature or warmer beverages (except hot chocolate). Asking me to give up ice would be like asking me to give up fruit or some basic food category. There are hundreds of other things I would give up before I give up ice to combat global warming, and I imagine most other people who prefer cold drinks feel the same way. Those who don't like ice in their drinks already aren't using it, so I just honestly don't see this being very beneficial. The website is cute though."

From Sweden:

"In Sweden - well, Europe in general - we can't buy ice. Possibly restaurants or shops can, from wherever they get frozen supplies - I don't know. My energy-saving itch starts up when I think of all those freezers chugging away only to preserve bags of frozen water. "

From Florida:

"Here in Florida, we deem ice to be a necessity.
Just sayin... Wave
I think too that the "no ice" campaign finds support among people who don't use it that much in the first place kind of hits a nerve.
Certainly, I am all for cutting down on wasteful consumption of energy. I don't see using ice as being wasteful. Ice helps to prevent disease. Air conditioning and ice machines were invented to try to control malaria in these southern, mosquito infested places. Our fishing industry needs to use massive amounts of ice or the fish will rot before they get to market. Some of live in a very hot climate.
I just enjoy ice too much to give it up, but I am willing to make other sacrifices to lower my family's carbon print. I am not offended by the "no ice" campaign, but I certainly won't promote or participate in it. It's not for me. "

Gateshead, UK:

"
Count me in Approve. I will do absolutely anything to make a difference."

Dresden, Germany:

"I've recently realized that they have put the drinks machine in the nearest Macdonalds out into the customer area, so you can fill your cup yourself, and most people don't bother about the ice from my observation. I thought this was a good start."

Scarborough, UK:
"I always say no to ice.
Freaks people out - they still try and put it in - I have to shout over - NO ICE!
It hurts my teeth mainly - and I get more fizzy pop without it.
To be honest if the drink comes from the fridge - you don't need ice."

Designers?

This site and the new global anti-ice cube movement could do with a logo or two for Think Twice About Ice and Say No to the Ice Cube then we could print it out and iron it on to our t-shirts (I don’t want to sell new ones), or print stickers to put on ice machines around the world. If you’d like to volunteer your efforts, I’ll put your work on the site.

How about a badge design for Anti-Ice Cube Activist?

Does anyone know people who make badges out of recycled stuff?
